Get Drunk on our tears

Divya NandaDivya Nanda

Because it will be harder than thought,
It will be fiercer than any physical violence,
It will drown you deeper than multi-chains of agony,
The pain will be just immense and the soul will drain.
Out of all stuff we can do,
Sometimes, It's just to
Get Drunk on our tears!

The expectations will be set higher,
The burden would seem heavier,
The ever so delivered work isn't treated mightier,
Demands of sweat and labor with job profile will seem mandate,
The best efforts will go in vain,
Only those silly mistakes will be showcased,
Out of all the stuff we can do,
Sometimes, It's just to
Get Drunk on our tears!

The relation that you held so close,
The investment of love and care you put,
The wishes you murdered to make time for your kid's upbringing,
The ridicule you took when he shouted on you,
How he favored his wife and left you alone,
How he mistook all your advice for old tales and unjust,
Out of all the stuff we can do,
Sometimes, It's just to
Get Drunk on our tears!

The promises he broke,
The sights he mislead you,
The chase which one seemed loveliest,
When you found out was a bet to mock later,
The gifts which in exchange demanded you physical,
After every such event when you still believed and he thrashed,
Out of all the stuff we can do,
Sometimes, It's just to
Get Drunk on our tears!

The earliest you woke up practice the game,
The moves you perfected to outshine the opponent,
The injuries you smilingly assimilate,
The parties you seemingly evade,
All in lieu to put up your best show,
Only to realize the competition deceits,
The panel approves and you are left to brood,
Out of all the stuff we can do,
Sometimes, It's just to
Get Drunk on our tears!

Maybe you will find a brand new meaning,
or maybe not,
Sometimes, just let out,
Don't stay strong,
Don't take it all in,
Don't be the most patient,
Don't make yourself custom,
Let the tears roll,
Witness the beliefs getting broke,
Comprehend with the reality that the world has become,
Let's get drunk on our tears.
Hit the nearest object,
Yell to the worldly affairs,
Turn your back with brave,
And Move On like this.
